I was asking my friend, whom I hadn’t seen for a while, exactly what her sciatica was like the other day, because I remember her complaining about it a lot at one time. She said it used to be ‘awful’ and that the cause of her sciatica leg pain which went right down her leg all the way was a trapped nerve in her back. She had been on about four different types of painkillers for it but then she reminded me that we had had an Eft session on it about a year ago and since then it had been fine.
She had stopped taking the painkillers and only experiences the occasional twinge now. Amazing eh?
Eft which stands for emotional freedom Technique is one of many natural healing technique which involve tapping on some of the acupressure points of the body for a short while, usually under 15 minutes. I have used it many times on mself for various things, including hip replacement recovery, with great success.
There are plenty of natural healing methods around today, so if you are suffering badly from sciatica pain, it may well be worth your while investigating them.
Some of these will work and others may not perform so well.
We all respond differently to different treatments.
But at least you may be able to eventually wean yourself off prescribed medications.
Otherwise prolonged use may be having a damaging effect on the body despite managing the pain somewhat.
The side effects of conventional medications have been well documented over the years, whereas with natural treatments this is much less of an issue
Here is an article I came across recently about alternative remedies for sciatica pain…
Choosing particular cures for sciatica may not actually result in being cured permanently, and in fact, many of the cures that you are able to use are no more than temporary or are not exactly suitable for every type of sciatica pain.
Many people try a lot of natural remedies or sciatica treatment trying to find a relief of their pain, sometimes with excellent results and other times with results not so positive as they expect.
Sciatica, generally speaking, is the inflammation or irritation of the largest nerve in the human body: the sciatic nerve. Sciatica nerves begin in the lower back and extend downward through the buttock, around the thigh, down the leg and into the foot.
The sciatica nerve itself is located at the base of the spine and from there it then runs down past the hip joint and down the back of the thigh. The sciatica nerve can become damaged when there is a compression in the vertebrae of the spine. Other causes is if you have a disc problem, where the normal cushions between the vertebrae are compromised, in this case the sciatica nerve becomes pressed on and caught.
You can find many treatments reliefs for this condition. You may also want to try out self-mobilization classes in which you will be taught to get rid of your stress as well as pain through using the mind instead of the body. Doing natural exercises is another alternative for the sciatica pain relief, and th itough is not the unique benefic of this activity, also you can feel good and a fitter person as well. Also, it is necessary to stretch your muscles because muscles that are not stretched can cause you a lot of pain as well as can damage the sciatica and thus cause you more unwanted sciatica pain.
So there you have it …
The best advice is, yes, to stretch but to do it gently. So don’t do exercise that is too strenuous and remember to warm up and build it up little by little. Also f you know that it is related to inflammation you can address this with natural means, such as diets that contain antiu-inflammatory elements. On top of that if you try one or two natural remedies or any sciatica home treatment that doesn’t work for you, don’t give up. Keep trying something new. Eventually you’ll find something that works and then you’ll be glad you did, just like my friend.
